Susanna Hoffs has just recorded a new version of the Bangles’ ballad, “Eternal Flame.” The 66-year-old singer stayed true to the original Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit released in 1988, which she co-wrote with Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly. “I was inspired to sing it again!” Hoffs said in a statement. “As I stood before the microphone, I fought back tears of gratitude — for the opportunity to sing a song I have loved and cherished my entire adult life.
